These freshly picked greens at the Farmers Market seem to be getting into the holiday mood with a splash of festive colors.
Gloom and rain didn’t seem to keep patrons away Sunday morning – the market was its normal busy self (although a few vendors were missing). Root vegetables, winter squash and holiday-appropriate items like wreaths and beeswax candles were among the local bounty being offered for sale.
Rainfall update: As of Sunday afternoon (12/13), 5.75″ of rain had been recorded on Cotton St. since the start of this season’s count (July 1, 2009). Showing the micro climates that make up the mid-Peninsula, 6.7″ has been recorded in westernmost Menlo along Sharon Heights golf course.
