If you get up feeling the urge to horse around, today is your day. Two nearby stables are having open houses and there’s a dressage competition at the Horse Park on Sand Hill Road.
Early birds can start the day at the Horse Park’s Dressage At Woodside, the final day of a three-day competition held by the California Dressage Society. From there, take “the loop” turning left on Sand Hill which becomes Portola Rd, turning left again at Alpine Rd., and stop by Glen Oaks Equestrian Center. The facility is having a “Horse Party” from noon to 4:00 pm with an assortment of activities for the whole family.
End your day by retracing your steps, making a sharp left on Portola (acorss from the entrance to Jasper Ridge on your right). After Portola turns into Woodside Rd, look for the sign to Wunderlich County Park where the Folger Stable is holding a Community Day from 2:00 to 5:00.
