Inspired by a delightful lunch soup special served yesterday at Mike’s Cafe in Ladera, I headed out to the Menlo Park Farmers Market this morning to pick up a few pounds of ripe tomatoes from Lucero Organic Farms to roast and a couple of ears of sweet corn to microwave and add the kernels to the soup.
Even though it’s warm in Menlo today, it’s also the peak of harvest season for both tomatoes and sweet corn – and I couldn’t resist the idea of having this great soup again for lunch today – homemade style! We just had the finished result for lunch – just delicious!
