The major retrospective of the photographs of Menlo Park resident David Hibbard continues at Xerox PARC through the end of the year (although PARC is closed between Christmas and New Year’s.) The photographer will be making three personal appearances at the exhibit over the next two weeks: Wed., Dec. 1 at 4:00 pm; Thurs., Dec. 9 at 11:00 am; Tues., Dec. 14 at 11:00 am.
Xerox PARC is located at 3333 Coyote Hill Road in Palo Alto; visitors must sign in at the security desk. In an email, Hibbard wrote:
“You can also go to PARC on your own on a day of your choosing (as long as it is not a weekend day). The curator, Lisa Fahey, has requested that people contact her before they come (phone: 650 812-4489; email: firstname.lastname@example.org). When you sign in at the front desk, tell them that you are a guest of Lisa’s. She may or may not come out to greet you — if she’s busy, it’s OK to look at the show on your own. The show begins in the lobby and continues down the two hallways that lead out from the lobby.
“I feel that this is my strongest group of landscape images yet. It may be awhile before I decide to put on a show of this size and scope again. It has taken me the better part of a year to put it together and I need to move on to other things such as doing new work!”
