Race to Nowhere

The Consortium of Atherton & Menlo Park United Schools (CAMPUS) presents Race to Nowhere on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 7:00 pm, at Woodside High School Performing Arts Center, located at 199 Churchill Avenue.

This provocative documentary film explores the pressures faced by American schoolchildren and their teachers in a system and culture obsessed with the illusion of achievement, competition, and the pressure to perform. It tells the heartbreaking stories of young people across the country who have been pushed to the brink, educators who are burned out and worried that students aren’t developing the skills they need, and parents who are trying to do what’s best for their kids.

Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door (if space is available).
