Rotary and Kiwanis now meeting at Allied Arts

Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park

Both the Menlo Park Rotary Club and the Menlo Park Kiwanis Club are now meeting at Allied Arts Guild. Rotary meets on Wednesdays and Kiwanis meet Tuesdays.

The Menlo Park Recreation Center was the meeting place for both clubs for many years until the Menlo Park City Council voted on January 11, 2011 to completely renovate that building. Work is scheduled to be completed by April 1st but the two service groups may find Allied Arts Guild so to their liking that leaving would be difficult!

Members of both clubs come early and stay late to enjoy the 3.5 acres of gardens and scout out the 10 shops in the historic buildings. Those interested in Kiwanis, a 600,000 international-member-organization, should contact the Menlo Park club president Les Koonce at lkoonce[at]kooncefin.com.

Contributor Louise DeDera is a long time member of the Allied Arts Auxiliary.
