In the first of its new SHS Excellence Series, Sacred Heart Schools is presenting Life Is What you Make It: A Concert and Conversation with Peter Buffett on Thursday, March 10 at 7:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public, although seating is limited and the school urges people to reserve seats in advance.

The youngest son of legendary investor Warren Buffett, Peter Buffett is a composer, author and philanthropist. While privileged financially, he says that the only real inheritance handed down from his parents was the philosophy “to forge you own path in life regardless of circumstances.”

The 90-minute performance features Buffet on piano accompanied  by cellist Michael Kott. It is a live companion to his recent book, Life Is What You Make It, which will be available through Kepler’s Books at the event. The author will sign books at the concert’s conclusion.

The performance will take place in the Harman Assembly Hall, part of the Michael J. Homer Science and Student Life Center, Sacred Heart Schools, 150 Valparaiso, Atherton.
