Kacie Madeira, who is on the Relay for Life planning board, let us know that teams are encouraged to sign up for this year’s event, which will be held at Burgess Park on May 14.
Explains the Relay for Life website: “Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are 24 hours in length; representing the reality that cancer never sleeps. By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we’ve lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight cancer in your community.”
You can sign up for the Menlo Park relay online. Pictured is last year’s Walgreen’s team.
