The calm of the early morning (pictured) made way for dark skies, heavy rain, and strong wind shortly before noon today. If you thought the conditions were wilder than usual, you weren’t alone. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for San Mateo County at 11:00 am, calling it off 30 minutes later.

According to Bay Cities News, a funnel cloud did destroy  a shed in Santa Rosa, and a water spout was photographed making its way to Ocean Beach in San Francisco (below).

InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ reports an additional .3″ in his rain gauge, bringing his season-to-date to 15.1″ as compared to 17.55″ a year ago.
