UPDATE: The storm has passed through and at 4:30 pm I found an additional .45″ in my gauge. That is 1.15″ for today’s storm and 18.7″ season-to-date.
[Earlier report] It is now noon. Just a few minutes ago, still dressed in early morning grubs, I went out to check my gauges. They are in a particularly messy location, behind the garage. That is the best place to receive rain unobstructed. There was a fresh .7″ in both gauges and it continues to rain steadily.
My season-to-date total is now 18.25″. Going over to the neighborhood storm drain, it was clear, and overwhelmed with the water flow. If one is inside looking out, this is fun, almost romantic. It will have to subside to get me back out to the garage area!
