Youth librarian Michele Barresse promises “an event unlike any we’ve every held at the Menlo Park Libary” when the teen poetry slam takes place on Friday, July 29 at 7:00 pm.

Hosted by the internationally acclaimed poet and slam legend Kealoha, this night of competitive performance poetry allows both poet and audience to interact in an exciting, unique way. The Teen Advisory Group is planning the food and decorations.

Prizes will be awarded.

Only 15 contestants will be allowed to compete; Michele reports that there are still spaces available.  Applications and guidelines can be picked up at the library.  Audience members don’t need to sign up to attend this teen only event.
