Seeking Pacific Islanders to participate in focus group about recreation interests

by Linda Hubbard Gulker on August 18, 2011

The City of Menlo Park and San Jose State University are working together to learn what recreation activities the Pacific Island community is interested in creating or becoming more involved with at the Onetta Harris Community Center. As part of the project, the city and university are planning a series of focus group sessions to explore ideas for new programs and activities. To participate you must be Pacific Islander, 18 years or older, and live in either Menlo Park, East Palo Alto or Redwood City.

Participants in this study have the chance to win $150, $100, $50 raffle prizes during a raffle held at Onetta Harris Community Center this year. If you bring additional participants that fit the study criteria with you to the focus group sessions, you will be awarded one extra raffle ticket per person, which increases your chances to win a prize when the focus group sessions are held.
