Author Gennifer Choldenko is at MP Library on Oct. 3

Appearing as part of the Peninsula Library System’s We Read Together program, author Gennifer Choldenko will be talking about her books, Al Capone Does My Shirts and Al Capone Shines My Shoes, at the Menlo Park Library on Monday, October 3 at 7:00 pm.  The San Francisco Bay Area-based author’s first novel, Notes from a Liar and Her Dog, was a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year and a California Book Award winner. Al Capone Does My Shirts was a Newbery Honor Book and a School Library Journal, Kirkus, and Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year.  Al Capone Shines My Shoes — a sequel to the Al Capone Does My Shirts — was a Kirkus, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Chicago Public Library Best of the Best for 2009. Gennifer’s appearance is made possible by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
