Two architectural firms will present their conceptual designs for the new Atherton Town Center at a public meeting on October 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Holbrook-Palmer Park’s Jennings Pavilion. The two firms presenting their concepts are Nichols Melburg & Rossetto and Siegel & Strain.
Explains the Town Center Task Force as part of a distributed Q&A on the process: “Before spending any money, the Task Force wanted to give residents an opportunity to get a sense of the possibilities for way that we could use the property we have. This is a very unique chance to experience the visions of highly qualified public project architects for our town’s future civic buildings. These conceptual designs are not meant to be the final design of the center, only to give us a view of each architect’s approach and vision and will be sued in the Task Force’s selection of the final architect to design a new Town Center.”
For those residents unable to attend the meeting, the design concepts will be posted on Atherton’s website and displayed in the City Council Chambers from Oct. 13 to Dec. 14, 2011.
