Free bullying prevention workshops on Oct. 22

Kuk Sool Won™ of Menlo Park Martial Arts and Character Development Center presents two free workshops on bullying prevention on Saturday 10/22. Names Will Never Hurt Me for K to 4th grade will take place from 1:00 to 2:30 pm; INBOX (Cyberbullying) for 5th to 9th graders will follow from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Call 650-787-2226 to reserve a space.

Owner/chief instructor Kristin Quintana emailed us about Kuk Sool Won™ of Menlo Park’s recent accomplishments:

“[We] placed fifth overall in the World Kuk Sool Association Pacific Coast Regional Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 15.  Sixty students from Menlo Park competed in the annual event, winning 17 gold medals, 23 silver and 21 bronze.

Students from over 30 schools participated including competitors from Canada, England, Texas. This is the second consecutive year Kuk Sool Won™ of Menlo Park has been in the top 5 schools in the tournament.”

Kuk Sool Won is a systematic study of all of the traditional fighting arts, which together comprise the martial arts history of Korea. As a martial arts system, Kuk Sool Won seeks to integrate and explore the entire spectrum of established Asian fighting arts and body conditioning techniques, as well as mental development and traditional weapons training.
