Rain falls off and on all day in Menlo Park

The rain came in fits and starts all day today in Menlo Park and Atherton. Where you were at any given moment dictated how wet you got. Emailed InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ shortly after 4:00 pm: “I just came in from checking my gauges – .3″ in both for the day, bringing the total to 4.9″ season-to-date. This compares to 10 inches this time last year when there was a dry period. Keep in mind, from this date forward in 2011 10 inches plus fell.”
