Rain began falling locally overnight Tuesday and continued throughout Wednesday morning. More spritzy rain resumed this morning before yielding to patches of blue sky. InMenlo rainfall watcher Bill Russ was away for a couple of days in the upper Napa Valley where, he reports, it poured.
He emails: “I had high hopes for what my gauges would hold. I guessed as high as 2″. What a surprise to find .4″ in both. The season-to-date total is now 5.4″. That compares to 14.2″ a year ago. Ugh!!”
