by Linda Hubbard Gulker on April 10, 2012

Menlo Park residents may bring household hazardous waste including paint, thinners, motor oil, batteries, fluorescent lamps, pesticides, herbicides, pool and photo chemicals, drain openers, and cleaning solvents to a special drop-off location in central Menlo Park on Saturday, April 14th from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm.

There is no charge to participate, but residents must make an appointment at (650) 363-4718 (24 hours a day) or online.  Space is limited. No radioactive, explosive, medical or commercial waste allowed.

Menlo Park residents of single-family homes, condos, townhomes and apartments may also dispose of hazardous waste through the free “At Your Door Special Collection” Program which picks up hazardous items near your door. Residents must call 1-800-449-7587 or email atyourdoor@wm.com for a collection kit and instructions.
