Phillips Brooks School 1st grader delivers cardIn honor of Earth Day last Sunday (4/22), the students of The Phillips Brooks School in Menlo Park have been having a week long celebration of the Earth that is wrapping up today with a tree planting ceremony. We stopped this morning in time to visit with the first graders who had made Earth Day cards on recycled paper and were walking the neighborhood to deliver the cards. “The card making was part of their regular ‘how to be a good neighbor’ curriculum,” said school spokesperson Amy Woropay. Today was also the day the kids could opt to wear something green rather than their regular school uniform, an idea that showed off just how many shades of green there are!
