Water reduction rebates offered customers of Menlo Park Municipal Water District

by Linda Hubbard Gulker on May 17, 2012

Customers of the Menlo Park Municipal Water District  — whose service covers primarily the Sharon Heights and Belle Haven neighborhoods and a portion of the Willows (see map) — are being offered various rebates for installing water deduction appliances and fixes. The company is offering a $125 rebate for washing machines and $100 for high efficient toilets as well as free fixtures such as kitchen/bathroom aerators,  hose nozzles, shower heads and toilet leak detection tablets.

Beginning July 1, the Lawn Be Gone! Program will pay $500 to $3,000 when homeowners install more water efficient landscaping.

To verify your water district (Menlo Park has three) or more information about these programs, call the city’s Environmental Program at 650-330-6740 or email recycle@menlopark.org.
