Exploring California public gardens is topic on June 2

On Saturday, June 2 at 11:00 am, travel writer/photographer David Laws will discuss his Android and Apple application, California Gardens North, an easy-to-use mobile travel guide to exploring the finest publicly-accessible gardens in Northern California and present a slide show. This free event will take place at the Menlo Park City Council Chambers, 701 Laurel Street, Menlo Park.

The app, published by Sutro Media, offers concise descriptions of over 200 gardens illustrated with more than 1600 photos and landscapes.  It also includes interactive location maps, opening hours, and links to related websites.

Author David Laws is a travel writer/photographer based on the Monterey Peninsula. His articles on western garden and travel topics have been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury, The Oregonian, and other publications.
