Merve Lapus of Common Sense Media

Merve Lapus of Common Sense Media will present the first M-A Parent Education series event of the 2012-2013 school year on Thursday, September 13, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the M-A PAC. His topic for the evening: ”Digital Citizenship, Cyberbullying & Social Media”. He’ll talk about how to guide your teen to make safe, smart, and ethical decisions in the digital world in which they live, study and play. Free tickets are available online.

Common Sense Media is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families by providing the trustworthy information and education they need to thrive in a world of media and technology.

Merve Lapus, Education Program Manager for Common Sense, received his degree in Psychology and Sociology from the UCSF. Merve helps schools throughout California implement the education tools created by Common Sense Media for K-12 students and parent/guardian groups.
