Ice Fantasy is this year’s theme of Filoli’s nine-day Holiday Traditions fundraising event, which begins Friday evening, Nov. 29, 2013. Rooms throughout the first floor of the historic house and visitors and education center are decorated and merchandise is for sale in the Holiday Boutique. Numerous local choral and performing groups and Bay Area musicians’ music will perform.

The kickoff to Holiday Traditions is the Opening Night Premier Shopping, Friday, Nov, 29, where visitors enjoy live music, wine and appetizers. Buffet lunches and evening bistro dining are available at select times during the week with advance reservations. Young families can enjoy the Children’s Luncheon Party on Saturday, Dec. 7, designed especially for children five to ten years of age, which includes fun food, a visit with Santa and children’s entertainment during the party in the Visitor Center.

The collaborative efforts of more than 700 volunteers, along with Filoli staff, create Holiday Traditions each year. This long-standing event is Filoli’s largest and most beloved fundraiser and supports the preservation and stewardship of this historic site. Complete event activities are posted online.

Tickets may be purchased online or by calling Filoli weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at (650) 364-8300, ext. 508. To download an order form, visit http://www.filoli.org.  Prices vary with each event.
