Post image for Applications open for Menlo Park Grant for the Arts – five organizations to be selected In an effort to support the Menlo Park artistic community, the City of Menlo Park Community Services Department has launched the 2014-15 Menlo Park Grant for the Arts (MPGA). Five organizations will be selected and awarded $500-$1000 to be used toward subsidizing the rental cost of the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center (MAPAC). The grant was created to increase the accessibility of the MAPAC by members of the community and to encourage the development of local artistic groups by providing a high-quality venue at a subsidized cost. MPGA applications will be accepted until March 12, 2014. Award of grants submitted after the deadline are subject to available funds. Grants expire one year after they are awarded. No applications will be accepted once all funding is awarded, but any organization can reapply the following year. For more information about the grant, contact the Community Services Department at 650.330.2223 or visit www.menlopark.org.
