Girl Scout holiday project

Reports Girl Scout Leader Grace Zales: “Girl Scouts from Junior Troop 61720 gave away holiday gift bags of homemade dog biscuits and collected donations for their Bronze service project to help animals at the Humane Society shelter this past weekend. They will be using the donations to furnish one of the shelter’s ‘dog condos’ to house abandoned dogs until they get adopted.

“Local shoppers in downtown Menlo Park outside of the Bow Wow Meow pet store gave generously, and lots of lucky dogs will be receiving their goody treat bags for Christmas and Hannukah this week.

“The girls are fifth graders at Encinal School. Pictured (l to r) are Melissa Zales, Madalyn Mazzara, Kaci Wong, Emily Travers, Adrianna Tokic.”
