Eden Aoba Taiko – August 15

Japanese-style drumming group Eden Aoba Taiko will be presenting a family program on the lawn outside the Menlo Park Library on Saturday, August 15 at 10:30 am. The group’s members range in age from six years old to over 80, and make their own traditional drums.

Bibliocraft – August 22

The Menlo Park Library will present a free program for adults and teens on Saturday, August 22 at 1:00 pm, featuring a demonstration of the art of Bibliocraft. Artist Taun Relihan will demonstrate the tools & techniques she uses to turn worn-out books into easy gifts or fine art. . The event will take place in the downstairs program room of Menlo Park Library, at 800 Alma Street.

Mockingbird Revisited– August 30

Take part in a lively conversation about all things To Kill a Mockingbird on August 30, when the Menlo Park Library’s sALon Menlo presents “Mockingbird Revisited: the classic book, the film, and the ‘other’ book—Go Set a Watchman.'” Refreshments will be provided at the free event, which kicks off at 2:00 pm in the Elm Room of the Arillaga Family Recreation Center, located across the parking lot from the library at 701 Laurel Street.
