Sept 1: Yishan Lin, founder of Mise, will explain a new concept in takeout meals, his online market and delivery service that delivers dishes from local chefs direct to homes from San Francisco to San Jose and parts of the East Bay.
Sept 8: Bayana Bokosi Frank Chunga, African Bible College, will talk about challenges facing the people of Malawi, while introducing us to the college he represents. He started daily devotional programs on the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation, produced a radio documentary that dealt with the AIDS crisis in Malawi, and has a weekly column in one of the nation’s newspapers.
Sept 15: Sara Jorgensen, one of Harrell Remodeling’s award-winning designers, will speak on “Choosing Remodeling Options For 2015 And Beyond.” Whether the project is a kitchen or whole-house remodel, Sara starts with the initial planning stage commencing with complex city code research. Her designs have won awards from the NKBA, NARI and National CotY.
Sept 22: Kirsten Keith, current member of Menlo Park’s City Council and former Mayor, will speak on the challenges for the City of Menlo Park. She will field questions from the audience on any number of subjects as she currently serves on a wide variety of Regional Committees, Commissions, and Advisory Boards.
Sept 29: Chris Carpenter is Senior VP & General Manager of the San Mateo Event Center, which covers 48 acres and has seven indoor buildings. The Center hosts hundreds of events each year — trade and consumer shows, product launches, ride & drives, concerts, corporate meetings, and the County Fair.
