Dry December a little less so thanks to overnight rain

Reports InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ this morning: “A surprise rain during the night. I found .1” in my gauge bringing ,my season-to-date total to 3.35”. Our first rain since December 3rd.”

Clouds lingered until shortly after dawn when the a very bright, but low in the sky, sun came out, casting long shadows.
