Middle of May storm brings new rainfall
Sometimes the weather forecasters hit the nail on the head. They promised rain starting at 10:00 pm Saturday night with the worst of the storm passed by the start of today’s Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco. And that was the case, almost exactly. InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ recorded .2# in his gauge overnight, bringing the year-to-date total to 19.75″. While the sun was shining at a tree in a west Menlo street late morning today, only five minutes later one mini front rolled in bringing rain mixed with a little hail. That’s the predicated pattern for the new few days.
