Lots to take in at fire fighters’ pancake breakfast

by Linda Hubbard on October 1, 2011

There’s nothing like a trip to the firehouse for the under eight set, and they were well-represented this morning at the 11th annual pancake breakfast sponsored by Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid Peninsula, the Menlo Park Fire District, and the Stanford Park Hotel. When not eating the pancakes prepared by the fire fighters, kids could get their faces painted, pose with firemen dressed up in fire fighting gear, have their photo taken on Old Tom, watch demonstrations on extinguishing fires and jaws of life rescue techniques, grab a plastic fire hat, and adorn a wrist with helium balloon. All the eating and fun netted $12,000 for the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.
