Steady, misty rain – the first of the season

by Linda Hubbard Gulker on October 4, 2011

The light patter of rain was heard for the first time this season on Menlo rooftops starting mid-afternoon yesterday and continuing into the evening. InMenlo rainfall watcher Bill Russ measured .2″ in his backyard gauge, compared to zero at the same time last year. More significant rainfall – up to half an inch – is supposed to roll in this evening and continue through the early morning.
