This week’s rain gets San Francisquito Creek flowing

It’s not often that San Francisquito Creek is flowing on its own at this time of year. (There’s always some water in the section adjacent to the Stanford Golf Course, courtesy of run off from watering.) But thanks to the the inch plus rain earlier this week, the Creek is moving along quick nicely, as seen from the San Mateo Dr. bike bridge.
Rainfall watcher Bill Russ reports another .1″ yesterday, increasing the year-to-date total to 1.3″ compared to zero at this time last year. “Looks like a pause now,” says. Bill.
