Spotted: Mama Duck on her nest at Laurel School

Why a duck would build a nest at a busy school, we aren’t sure. But that’s what one mother duck-to-be has done at Laurel School between the office and the library. A cardboard “fence” has been put up to shield the duck, and students are being asked to keep a respectful distance, which Laurel mom and photographer Laura Hamilton did when taking these shots.
