GLAM – God Loves All of Me – Night is free program offered by Menlo Park Presbyterian Church on Friday, May 11 from 6:00 to 9:30 pm. The dinner and presentations will take place at 700 Santa Cruz Ave.

“This is second time we’re offering this program,” said Brooke Lee, one of the speakers who is on the staff of MPPC. “We believe there’s a huge need to talk about issues/struggles that young women are facing – negative body image, bullying, friendships, relationships with boys. The central question is ‘what makes you beautiful.'”

Also speaking is Shanterra McBride, associate principal at Sacred Heart Prep and Lindsey Sturgeon, a local marriage and family counselor.

Brooke said that while there will be reference to Scriptures, every effort is being made to make any girl attending feel welcome, whether or not she has faith. “We want girls to feel empowered about how they can have healthy relationships and honor themselves,” she said.

Registration for the event is available online.
