Update as of 3:30 pm, Saturday, Dec. 13 from Bill Russ: “Lo and behold an additional .1″.  Now 11.25″ season-to-date. To my surprise I am higher than the SF Airport.”

Update as of 2:00 pm, Friday, Dec. 12 from Bill Russ: “Just found an additional .2″ bringing my season-todate total to 11.15”.

Update as of 7:00 am, Friday, Dec. 12, from Bill Russ: “Wow, get this, another 2″ in my gauges this morning. That would be since 4:00 pm yesterday and through the night. My figure for the full 24-hour storm is 4.75”. Season-to-date total is now 10.95″, well beyond all, repeat all, of the 2013-2014 total of 9.55″.”

It’s been raining for the past 12 hours in Menlo Park. Reports InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ at 4:00 pm today (which was four hours ago): “It started raining between 7:00 and 8:00 am [this morning] and has not stopped. Now, at 4:00 pm, my total for the day is 2.75″. That is 8.95″ season-to-date and closing in on last year’s full season total of 9.55″. I will check back before 8:00 am tomorrow. Just too wet and dark out behind the garage where my gauges are.”

Accompanying photo was taken on the Alameda near LuLu’s.

I remember him and his gauges from last year and was just thinking about him this evening. Six hours later and for sure the totals are even higher because the rain, blissfully, has not let up.
