Windy rainstorm keeps Menlo Park streets wet

Update as of Friday morning: Bill reports another .1″, bringing year-to-date to 3.1″.
By mid-afternoon on Thursday, the clouds were breaking up, as shown in accompanying photo by Jym Clendenin. InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ checked his backyard gauges about that time as well, reporting: “Both my gauges showed .25″ for season-to-date total of 3″. That compares to 5.75″ same time last year when we had some wet weather in early December.”
As locals recall, that wet weather in December was about all we got!
Footnote: It’s about 5:30 pm and the rain has started again.
