Local Junior League hosts FlashDash fundraiser in Menlo Park on April 16

As part of its community focus on empowering girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), the Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula (JLPA•MP) will host FlashDash – a photo scavenger hunt fundraiser – on Saturday, April 16, in Menlo Park.
Participants – either as individuals, or in teams of four – will receive a set of clues to photograph and post on either Twitter or Instagram using an event-specific hashtag. Some clues will be very specific, while others will require creativity and teamwork to interpret. Wacky and wild costumes are encouraged.
FlashDash will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm starting at the JLPA•MP headquarters at 555 Ravenswood Ave. in Menlo Park. While many clues will be accessible by foot, FlashDash is not a footrace, and teams will be allowed to move about town by car.
Tickets for FlashDash are $50 per person, or $200 per team, and include post-game treats and refreshments; participants must be 21 years or older. All proceeds will support girls in STEM. Tickets must be purchased online by April 13.
The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula is investing in the next generation of female STEM leaders through strategic grant-making, coalition building, and by partnering with local and national nonprofits on projects for direct service, capacity building and advocacy.
JLPA•MP recently announced new multi-year partnerships with The Tech Museum of Innovation and Technovation to engage girls in our community with innovative STEM education and programs. These partnerships include a $100,000 grant and volunteer support to launch Girls Day at The Tech and The Tech Challenge mentorship program.
