11th annual Big Bear Run will be held on May 1

The Menlo-Atherton High School Athletic Boosters is holding its 11th annual Big Bear 5K run on May 1 at 9:00 am. The fundraising event usually attracts about 1,000 runners. The course starts at M-A and loops around the Lindenwood neighborhood in Atherton and back to the high school.

You can mail in registration or drop it off at the school before April 24th; $20 for students, $30 for adults. The registration form is available online.

You can also register online; the cost is $23 for students and $33 for adults, which increases to $25 for students and $40 for adults on race day.

Participants receive a T-shirt and lanyard; refreshments follow the race. There is a post-race raffle prize drawing for current M-A students who finish the race in under 45 minutes (must be present to win).

Proceeds from the race go to providing critically-needed funds to support M-A’s 50 plus sports teams.
