Jim Lyon talks about the Buck’s Collection at Next First Friday on Feb. 2

Have you ever wondered about the collection of items that are at Buck’s Restaurant in Woodside? Even if you haven’t gone there, you probably have heard about the eclectic and wonderfully interesting displays!

Come to Woodside’s Next First Friday and hear author Jim Lyons speak of the book he wrote about the collection. This is from Jim: “Seven years ago, I finally persuaded Jamis that it would be interesting to produce a book describing the weird and wonderful collection of items displayed in the restaurant, the Buck’s Collection. A few months later I had completed documenting the many items in the collection and getting photographs of them all. In all, I documented nearly 400 items about subjects ranging from history to art to science to really strange. I will describe many of them with photos covering the entire range of subjects. There will probably be things you didn’t know are there as well as some which you think should not be!”

First Friday events are always free and start at 7:00 pm, finishing at 8:00 pm. But come a bit early (6:45) to secure your seat and enjoy the complimentary refreshments (including wine!). Friday, February 2, at Woodside Town Hall.
