Arbor Day in Menlo Park

The City of Menlo Park celebrated Arbor Day with a tree planting ceremony this morning at the Belle Haven Child Development Center in east Menlo Park. Preschoolers assisted Mayor Ray Mueller in planting a tree in front of the center.

National Arbor Day is the last Friday in April, but many states observe Arbor Day on different dates according to their best tree-planting times. California celebrated Arbor Week from March 7-14.
