Fit Kids

Fit Kids founder Ashley Hunter let us know that the organization has a new support group called Fit Kids Champs. She emails: “Anybody can join for a small fee of $250, which fee covers the cost of one child in Fit Kids for one school year.”

Founded in 2011, Fit Kids is a non-profit that provides structured physical fitness activities to underserved youth. “This year we have over 10,000 kids in our programs,” says Ashley.

Two Menlo Park residents, Amelia Schultz and Courtney Bianchi are Fit Kids Champs co-presidents. “Our goal is to build a community of like-minded people who will support and raise awareness about Fit Kids,” explains Courtney. “There will also be a series of events specifically for Champs.”

The first takes place on Dec. 5 at 10:30 am and features Tess Masters aka The Blender Girl (pictured). She is an actor, presenter, lifestyle personality, and author of The Blender Girl, The Blender Girl Smoothies app and book, The Perfect Blend, and The Decadent Detox as well as the host of The Blendaholic cooking show on Facebook Watch.

“Setting the Champs fee at $250, we’re hoping  joining will be accessible for most people,” says Amelia.

People interested in becoming a Champ and seeing Tess Masters should email [email protected]
