Wendy Mattes, who is Executive Director of Jasper Ridge Farm, emails that the organization served 2,654 children and adults in 2017, a 30% increase from the previous year.
“We’re looking forward to another great year of bringing the comfort of animals to people, through our therapeutic programs,” she writes. “Each year, we receive more requests for program visits. With our new covered arena providing us an area to run programs year round, we have more options to expand, but in order to do that, we also need to expand our group of volunteers.
“If you’re interested in volunteering with us, there is no obligation for the number of visits or hours that you volunteer. Once you’re signed up to be a volunteer, you receive an email when we have a new volunteer opportunity, and if it’s a program that interests you and fits your schedule, you simply sign up for it!
