La Entrada

Artwork created by 27 artistic 4th to 8th grade La Entrada students will be on display on Saturday, March 15 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park.  The artworks include oil paintings, charcoal drawings, colored pencil, watercolor paintings, and pastels, and subjects such as still life, animals and objects, landscapes and much more.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Family Connections, a tuition-free parent participation program for low-income families, educating over 400 individuals each year at three sites in San Mateo County.  Admission is $10 per person, $5 for children age 14 or under. Free admission for student artists who have a submission in the show.

Spotted: Two Colonial kids on their way to school

What fun to come upon two La Entrada fifth graders all dressed up for their class’s Colonial Days. The two were waiting for the school bus to pick them up this morning and were surrounded by many admirers, who thought they looked swell (or whatever word is used nowadays to convey approval!).
