Valpo Bowl

The VALPO Bowl is an annual football game that brings together Valparaiso neighbors, Menlo School and Sacred Heart Prep, for a good cause. All proceeds go to Peninsula Bridge, a non-profit organizaton that  promotes academic and personal success for motivated middle school students from under-resourced communities. Both Menlo and SHP host Bridge summer programs on their campuses.

Both the Frosh/Soph game (4:00 pm) and Varsity game (7:00 pm) will be played at Sequoia High School in Redwood City (enter off James Avenue or use neighborhood street parking). Tickets are $5 students and $10 adults.

The Old Pro will be offering a menu of hot and cold food;baked goods provided by the Menlo community.

10th annual Valparaiso Bowl to benefit Peninsula Bridge on Nov. 9

Back in the day, Sacred Heart Prep and Menlo School did not compete on the gridiron. Shortly after 9/11 when all football games were cancelled, it was proposed that the two neighbors compete.
