Amazing treasures on display at Menlo Park library

I was working this afternoon at the Menlo Park Library – doing some editing away from the office – and noticed the eclectic display of “Treasures” that the Friends of the Library had in the display case in the Library’s lobby.
This collection of stuff comes from things they’ve found in the books and other things that folks have donated to the Friends for their annual book sales in September and December, in the Friends Bookstore at the Library, and online on Amazon.com.
When you shop at Kepler’s and you mention Friends of the Library at checkout, Kepler’s donates 10% of the purchase amount to Friends of the Library as part of Kepler’s Community Partners program. You can also shop online at Kepler’s web site using this link and Friends of the Library will receive 10% of your purchase amount.
You can donate your old books, CDs and DVDs between 9am-Noon every day (except Tuesday and Sunday) at the staff entrance to the Library on Alma St. at the corner of Ravenswood Ave. I’m not sure they’re looking for any of your “treasures”, however!
