Gardeners demonstrate solar power at Burgess Park

Stop by Burgess Park at 4:00 pm this afternoon to see a gardener’s truck mounted with solar panels, a display of zero-emission gardening techniques. According to the Bay Area Gardener’s Association, which is sponsoring the demonstration, the solar panels on the truck provide enough energy to power mowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers and other gardening equipment.
