Retired judge Bill Fernandez talks about growing up in Hawaii

Roberta Roth was good enough to send InMenlo this information about Saturday’s Friends of the Library program:

“We are having a wonderful program on Saturday, May 1 entitled “Rainbows Over Kapa’a” with Menlo Park author Bill Fernandez.  He has written a memoir about growing up in on the island of Kauai in the small town of Kapa’a.  Bill attended Stanford University and became a judge in the Municipal and Superior Courts of Santa Clara County. Now fully retired, he is writing a series of novels from the indigenous native Hawaiian point of view, depicting the conflicts arising from contact with the West.  He currently lives half the year in Menlo Park and the other half in Kapa’a.”

The program begins 11:00 am at the Menlo Park Library. You can read more about Bill on his website.
