AYSO fall soccer sign-ups begin

Spring may be in full swing, but fall soccer is on the minds of Menlo Park’s parents and kids. Today online registration for the fall soccer season starts for kindergartners through high schoolers in Menlo/Atherton’s Region 109 of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).

Parents can take care of the paperwork online but must complete the process in-person at one of two walk-in registration days at Hillview Middle School: Saturday, May 8 or Saturday, May 22, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Another good reason to get there? The league is collecting donations of outgrown soccer equipment, such as jerseys, cleats, and shin guards.

Menlo Park is also looking to implement AYSO’s successful Very Important Players (VIP) program, which provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults whose physical or mental differences make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams.
