Woodside Vineyards grand opening this weekend

by Chrisie Wendin on May 28, 2010

For local connoisseurs, this weekend brings the much-anticipated Menlo grand opening of local favorite Woodside Vineyards. Woodside, one of the oldest boutique wineries in the state, moved its operations down the hill from Kings Mountain Road — where it had been located for 50 years — to its new home at 205 Constitution Drive in Menlo Park.

This is also the site of AutoVino, the new private club that blends high-tech storage (for cars and wine) with high-touch amenities (cigar room, racing simulator, and more). When InMenlo visited AutoVino earlier this year, owners Louis Giurlani and Richard Burns were in the process of moving the winery, their new acquisition, to the AutoVino location.

The grand opening festivities take place from 1:00 pm to  5:00 pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of Memorial Day weekend, and also the following Saturday, June 6, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Tastings are $10 per person and complimentary for Woodside Vineyards wine club members.
