Cafe Silan – post fire and water

Loyal customers can only look in dismay at the interior of Cafe Silan, which suffered water damage from a second story fire in the building on the corner of Evelyn and Santa Cruz in downtown Menlo Park yesterday afternoon (6/16). The Almanac reports that Menlo Park Fire Protection District Chief Harold Schapelhouman told the cafe’s owners that the building will be uninhabitable for months.
